RATA Teacher Support is a group of trained New Zealand teachers committed to encourage, equip and inspire untrained teachers in developing countries (India, Ghana, Tanzania), so that they can confidently teach the children with excellence, professionalism and passion.

Hanson Creative have been the creative force behind RATA since around 2010, when we designed their first website. It was well overdue for a big overhaul and that's when we dived back in. Our focus on the redesign was to help tell the story of all the amazing work RATA does overseas - educating untrained international teachers is a no mean feat and the journey that each trip takes is inspiring. We brought in lots of images, broke down sections of content into easily digestible snippets, and added a blog which can get updated with news, upcoming trips, stories whilst overseas and more. To assist in communications from the website, an email newsletter was designed and templated for future updates. We also set up a Facebook page to help connect with people from all over the world, and make sharing updates easier. The newly designed website has had a lot of positive feedback, and has proven to be a great resource for the organisation.

Natalie, our Graphic Designer volunteered with RATA in Tanzania and South Africa, during September/ October 2015. The team set up libraries for two schools; assisted with training teachers; had a 3-day break on a Safari and Nat documented the whole experience with a blog + photos.
